All 2018 homebuyer classes will be held from 6-9PM at our office at 682 Berkmar Circle, 2nd floor.

Tenancy & Fair Housing

Piedmont Housing Alliance, in partnership with the Charlottesville Human Rights Commission and Virginia Fair Housing Office is offering a presentation with a Q&A session on Fair Housing on April 25th from 6-7:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers.

In honor of celebrating 50 years of the Fair Housing Act, Shelley Murphy will lead a discussion on fair housing with some history of the Act, some facts and interesting cases as well as changes regarding housing.

Financial Education Series

Piedmont Housing Alliance’s HUD approved Housing Counseling staff members provide community classes to help you better understand your monthly spending habits, your income, credit report and how to save.  Each class focuses on a different aspect of personal finance so we encourage you to attend more than one.

Here is a list of classes that will be held from 10-11AM at Greenstone on 5th at the community center, 746 Prospect Avenue, Charlottesville, VA:   

February 19th – Getting Your House in Order
March 19th – Setting Goals
April 16th – Money Matters: Money Management & Budgeting
May 14th – Credit IQ
June 25th – Debt Go Away
July 23rd – Savings: Pay Yourself First
August 20th – Borrowing Basics
September 17th – Loan to Own, Know What You are Borrowing Before You Get the Loan
October 15th – Helping Your Children with Financial Education
