Now in its 5^th year, Piedmont Housing Alliance’s Senior Angels program provides special gifts to our senior residents to brighten the holiday season. The 13 communities we manage are reserved for families and individuals experiencing low income. Of 389 senior residents, more than half earn a household income below federal poverty guidelines.

How can you help?

Our goal is to raise $9,725 to provide gifts for all 389 elderly residents across our 13 properties in Charlottesville, Albemarle, Scottsville, Louisa, Greene, and Fluvanna Counties.

The most requested items are robes, slippers, socks, and hoodies—the basic necessities to keep our neighbors warm this winter. This year, to make it easier, we’ll do the shopping for you. Simply choose an amount to give below, and each $25 you donate will allow us to bring holiday cheer to a senior in our community.

To ensure we have time to distribute the packages to all senior residents, we will be collecting donations through December 24, 2022.

Distribution

Our food service program now reaches all 13 properties! Resident services staff will distribute gift packages to all our seniors as part of their monthly food distribution.
