Down Payment Assistance Programs with Piedmont Housing Alliance

We invite you to learn with Piedmont Housing.

A 20% down payment on a home is great, but it’s not a requirement. First-time homeowners can secure mortgages requiring no more than 3% to 5% of the purchase price as a down payment, and there are loans and grants that can help cover these costs.

We are not currently offering the Virginia Housing Homebuyer Class in person. You can take that class online by following this link or find other organizations throughout the state of Virginia that offer the class in person by following this link.
