Housing Counseling + Financial Services
In fiscal year 2020, the Housing Counseling team continued aiding Piedmont Housing Alliance residents and community members as they achieved big and small financial wins. Whether improving a credit score or purchasing their first home, housing counseling clients play a large part in how our organization outreaches to our service area.
Covid Impact
Like other programs at Piedmont Housing Alliance, all housing counseling programs were moved online due to covid-19 and the need for social distancing. 250 individuals attended our group education workshops in FY20.
Housing Counseling by the Numbers
During FY 2020, we were able to connect 35 community members to Virginia Housing’s Sponsoring Partnerships and Revitalizing Communities (SPARC) program, saving them collectively $2,058,478 over the life of their loan. Click the image below for a Housing Counseling Snapshot.
