Redevelopment Update: Targeting a December Start for Friendship Court Groundbreaking

Our real estate development team is now targeting a December start for phase 1 construction at Friendship Court. The delays are COVID-19 related.

Construction was originally expected to start in spring 2020. The new expected completion date is mid-2022. Piedmont Housing’s real estate development team is working to ensure that this delay does not impact phase 2 construction.

We previously alerted the Friendship Court Advisory Committee of the delay. The Advisory Committee meets regularly virtually.

Beginning in late 2020/early 2021, we will deliver monthly construction updates to Friendship Court community members and schedule quarterly community meetings.
