Residents at Woods Edge Enjoy Their Community

Woods Edge is an affordable senior housing community in Albemarle County that was acquired by Piedmont Housing Alliance in April of this year. It is made up of 97 one- and two-bedroom units and is managed by Piedmont Housing Alliance’s property management division, Alliance Management.

The community at Woods Edge is a tight-knit one, where residents spend time playing bingo together on Thursdays and Fridays as well as exercising together on Thursdays.  The residents also enjoy celebrating birthdays together each month.  Many residents gathered recently in the community room, chatted and shared cake together, to wish Mike and Susan a happy birthday.

Property Manager Panyha Brown says, “I just love seeing the residents enjoy spending time together.  Everyone I’ve met seems to really enjoy life here at Woods Edge and that just makes my job more meaningful and fun.”

Residents of Woods Edge also enjoy getting haircuts at the salon as well as walks in nature around the property.
