Portico Church and Piedmont Housing Alliance Sponsor a Back-to-School Bash at Friendship Court

Kids enjoyed playing games and mingling with folks who came out for the Portico Church “Love the Court” community event at Friendship Court right before school started. Portico Church planned their second annual event in partnership with Piedmont Housing Alliance at Friendship Court on Wednesday, August 17 after having a successful similar event last June.

Many nearby partners such as Computers4Kids, the BridgePAI and PVCC were there to help spread the word about their programs with the Friendship Court community.

Desmond Glenn, Pastor of Community & Discipleship at Portico, said their goal is to help create churches for future generations. “It’s all about being relational and loving and meeting our neighbors”, Desmond says. “We just want to love the court and love everyone which is how we got the name for this event”, he says. “I’m just excited to be here to help spread the word and build relationships”.
