Welcome to New CEO, Sunshine Mathon

Piedmont Housing Alliance is pleased to welcome Sunshine Mathon as its new Chief Executive Officer. Sunshine moved from Austin, Texas to join Piedmont Housing Alliance in August 2017. While in Austin, Sunshine spent a decade directing deep green design and construction of new, multi-family properties with Foundation Communities, a nonprofit affordable housing provider. In his role, Sunshine helped lead the development of more than 1,000 efficient, healthy homes in central Texas.

Through his work on City commissions, as a policy consultant, and Chair of the Austin Housing Coalition, Sunshine has also served as an advocate for low-income families and communities, working to influence local and state policy to address entrenched issues of affordability.

A nationally recognized leader in deep green, affordable housing and affordability policies, Sunshine is committed to consulting with both local and national affordable housing agencies to serve the most vulnerable of our neighbors. Sunshine holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin and brings his considerable experience and passion for excellence to his new position helping Piedmont Housing Alliance continue and deepen its mission.
