Black Mothers Blooming is a reparative gift dedicated to celebrating and supporting Black mothers and women-identifying caregivers of young children in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Black Mothers Blooming aims to acknowledge and repair the historical and systemic harms inflicted on Black communities, and specifically on Black mothers, through direct, consistent, and unconditional financial support.
We honor the strength, resilience, and love that Black mothers embody by working to advance racial and economic justice.
