JEDI Ambassadors

The Piedmont Housing JEDI Ambassador Program is a structured pathway to action. Participants receive training and information in the fundamentals of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and are then provided with structured engagement options to choose from to chart their own individual course to actively fight against the harmful human othering that divides us all.

The two-part program includes:

  • Part 1: Completion of the JEDI Bootcamp and
  • Part 2: Commitment to and execution of their individual engagement strategy developed during Part 1.

What is the PHA JEDI Bootcamp?

The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Bootcamp is an intensive, 2-day, virtual training program designed to provide participants with the fundamentals in the fight against otherness. In the JEDI Bootcamp, we use a collaborative approach to learning that allows individuals from different groups to learn from one another. Across Charlottesville, throughout the Nation, and around the world groups are developing strategies to eradicate otherness. Lacking is a short, immersive resource to provide planners, workers, and activists with the basics. Participants build confidence in working with and through JEDI constructs and develop a personal pathway to engagement while simultaneously building a collaborative learning and action community.
