Now is the Time to Donate to our Senior Angels Program

Last year, we started our Senior Angels program at our communities. Through this program, residents age 55 and up are given the opportunity to sign up to receive a gift – clothes, slippers, candies, and bath and body products are among the most common requests. With the success of last year’s program we were able to distribute gifts to over 100 residents. We are bringing the gift-giving back this year.

Piedmont Housing Alliance provides housing to over 300 senior residents at our affordable housing communities. Among these senior residents, over one half have a household income that falls under federal poverty guidelines for their household size. We believe in making our core values tangible; when we provide housing, we provide community, respect, and a true sense of being home. The Senior Angels program is a component of that commitment to our organizational values and our role in the larger Charlottesville community.

You can help! Sign up to purchase gifts for our residents today. We are also accepting donations of warm-weather clothing and blankets at our main office. We ask that all donations reach our office no later than Wednesday, December 11. Gifts will be distributed at resident events the week of December 16-20; more information is to follow. Resident services at our communities is still a young program. With your help, we plan to make Senior Angels an annual tradition.
