Staying Home
As a member of the boomer generation, I see lots of data being slung around about my cohort. One data point that doesn’t seem to change from study to study is that most of us want to stay put in our homes for as long as possible.
This article in USA Today cites the fact that our attitudes toward our homes are shifting. No longer seeing them as just a good financial investment, as we age we begin to develop a much stronger emotional attachment to them. Not hard to figure. This is where our kids grew up, where we entertained friends, where we established gardens or basketball courts.
Home holds a magic, we know that here at Piedmont Housing Alliance. We are lucky to witness lots of folks taking their first step into home ownership. Call us if that is something you would like to do.
