Two Cities, Two Worlds

There is no disputing that economic gains of the past three decades have overwhelmingly benefited those in the top of the income range. As the gap between rich and poor widens, and the middle class melts away, our cities are becoming more starkly divided, an issue that is explored in this article in CityLab.  The article illustrates that the divide is more complex than just about income, and that it can potentially “undermine the essential role that cities have played as incubators of innovation, creativity, and economic progress.” How do these trends affect the future of our city?
