Resident Services Teams Up with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank

Piedmont Housing Alliance (Piedmont Housing) teamed up with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank (BRAFB) recently to distribute food to residents at Crozet Meadows in Crozet, Virginia.

The first distribution was held on February 27 and Crozet Meadows community manager, LaShawnda Hester said she was glad to see a project that she and others in Alliance Management have been working hard on come to fruition.

During the event, Piedmont Housing Alliance served 1/3 of the property’s residents, as well as some other Crozet residents who heard about the program. Residents were very happy to have the food bank brought to them, as opposed to having to find transportation to go pick up items.

The goal is to work with BRAFB and offer the service to residents each month. To participate, residents are made aware of the date of the event and then must sign up with our resident services team to receive items.

In March, distributions will be held at Crozet Meadows at 10 a.m. on March 21, Woods Edge and Monticello Vista Apartments on March 22nd, and at Ryan School Apartments on March 26th from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
