Thanksgiving Feast at Ryan School Apartments

Piedmont Housing Alliance Board and Staff were delighted to join the residents of Ryan School Apartments for a Thanksgiving feast. Ryan School Apartments is Piedmont Housing’s solution to affordable living for seniors in Shipman, Virginia. During the luncheon, residents shared information about the community and discussed the history of Ryan School. The original Ryan School was a one-room schoolhouse built in 1899, which can still be seen just up the road from Ryan School Apartments.. Three of the current residents at the luncheon have lived at Ryan School Apartments since its renovation and grand opening in 2006.
