Woods Edge Receives Many Upgrades since April of 2017
Woods Edge is one of nine apartment communities managed by Piedmont Housing Alliance’s Alliance Management. Woods Edge is a conveniently-located senior living community, situated in a serene spot close to nature, yet close to amenities including doctors’ offices, grocery stores, businesses, and activities.
Recent upgrades at Woods Edge include beautiful wooden floors in the downstairs sunroom. This bright and airy room provides community space for residents to enjoy relaxing, reading, or watching TV. Since 2017, many other improvements have been made, including providing new furniture in the lobby, replacing the roof, power washing the entire outside of building, providing new and improved lighting in the hallways, cleaning carpet in the hallways, replacing and updating the smoke detectors, and adding a new interactive TV for the multi-purpose room. Energy efficiency upgrades from LEAP include the addition of new LED lightbulbs and water-saving faucets and shower heads in all apartments.
Many residents have expressed their gratitude for the positive changes made at Woods Edge. One resident wrote, “I feel safe, cared for, and important once again and plan to remain at Woods Edge as long as I am physically able!” Another stated, “Thank you for the outstanding improvement in maintenance/management and the conscientious attention to the exterior and interior repairs. I hope to be here a few years longer!”
Residents at Woods Edge also enjoy amenities including an on-site hair salon. They can exercise in the activity center, celebrate birthdays together, play Bingo on Fridays, as well as enjoy walks in nature around the wooded property or work in the community garden. Piedmont Housing Alliance’s Alliance Management added Woods Edge to its portfolio of over 358 high-quality affordable apartment homes almost one year ago.
