Piedmont Housing Welcomes New Communications Manager

Piedmont Housing Alliance welcomes LaTasha Durrett as its new Communications Manager. In this newly-created position, she will manage all of the organization’s communication and branding and work closely with the development director to move fundraising efforts forward.

LaTasha joins us from Social Security’s Ticket to Work Program, headquartered in McLean, VA, where she served as a digital communications specialist for the last six years. She has an extensive background in curating website and blog content, as well as newswriting and reporting, website design and marketing and communications strategy.

In her current role, LaTasha will focus on establishing clear communication strategies for Piedmont Housing Alliance with special attention to the future of the organization as a leader in affordable housing development and property management, as well as housing counseling in the city of Charlottesville, Albermarle County and surrounding areas.

A native of Afton, VA, she is a graduate of Nelson County High School and holds a B.A. in Communication from George Mason University. In her free time, she enjoys blogging, reading and makeup artistry.

She looks forward to re-entering the Charlottesville community and fostering strong relationships with those interested in the work Piedmont Housing does.
